Paincare (Harmonising Yin and Yang)
Strike a Balance by choosing interior harmony of yin and yang.
AR-kee Design Studio recently completed an interior design project for Paincare Medical Singapore’s new concept clinic at Marina Square.
Taking on the challenge and rising to the occasion was exciting.
We merged the element of the moon (the illuminating logo) and the sunray (the feature panel in the ceiling).
To create a perfect union of Yin and Yang energy, providing both patients and staff with a positive sense of energy and positive vibes.
Playing with two opposing elements brings forth something new.
Together, they become a more beautiful design than either could be on its own; the tension between the two inspires interest in how spiritual principles can be applied to physical spaces.
For interior designers, Yin and Yang is a crucial design philosophy because it builds harmony and balance into spaces.
The seemingly contradictory forces work together to become interconnected and give areas real cohesion. You need to represent both Yin and Yang energies in every space, but there will always be one quality of energy that is stronger depending on the use of the space.
Creation and destruction, positive and negative, these forces are the essences of everything in the universe, and it needs to be in balance to nourish life. This is no different when it comes to decorating and styling your interior.
There is an abundance of ways to implement harmonizing Yin and Yang into your interior.
